2011 Pacific Rim Dry Riesling

This widely available riesling is a very good value, and can be found for as low as $8. It always gets pretty decent scores from the major wine pubs, and I see that Wine Enthusiast gave it a 91. That’s the kind of score inflation I think Enthusiast is particularly guilty of these days, as I would not describe this as an “excellent” wine.

Still and yet, it’s good, and a great value if found in the single digits. I actually bought a bunch of these when I found them on sale, and plan to open them at parties throughout the holidays.

Relatively full bodied, it’s unmistakably riesling, with some combination of stone and peach.
Would be great with most any foods.
