2009 L’ecole Semillon

We bought this on a Walla Walla excursion a last year. I remember buying this because it was very good, but also because L’ecole waived a tasting fee with the purchase of a bottle, so what’s another $10 for a tasty Washington white?

Speaking of, if more people had the chance to taste this excellent, high-value white, I think Semillon could be spoken of in the same vein as the world’s most popular whites. This has a thick, waxiness about it, but with lots of pears and apples, as well. A waxy pear, maybe. Regardless, it’s food friendly, super delicious, and under $20. Buy it.
