2010 Borsao Tres Picos Garnacha

picosThis is a pretty popular wine. You may have seen it at your wine store and better grocery stores.

It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s very enjoyable. Lighter than a lot of its Spanish brethren. It tastes like raspberry jam, but manages to avoid being “jammy,” if that makes sense. Oak doesn’t smack you in the face. Some cinnamon and whatnot. 100% garnacha.

I bought this for $12 a bottle. At that price, it’s a strong value. I’ve seen it has high as $17. At that price, it’s an easy pass.
