2008 Anam Cara ‘Nicholas Estate’ Pinot Noir

anamThis is very nice Oregon pinot.

We visited this tasting room in Newberg last year, and had a nice time talking with the owner and enjoying the various bottles of excellent wine. This bottle, at just under $30, was a standout in quality and price.

Tastes like classic Oregon pinot, amped up by a great vintage. Muted cherries and various other berries with some earth and mushroom and spice. Tastes un-mucked with and clean.

Tastes fresh and young 5 years in. Buy it if you see it.
